“Poeisis,” the root of the modern term “poetry,” derives from the ancient Greek word ποιέω, literally, “to make” or “to bring forth.”
Poeisis is not a thing or product, but an action or process: the process of creation, of bringing something into the world. This “something” could be abstract, like an idea, or concrete, like a boat. It could be accessible by some or all of the senses: sight, touch, smell, taste, hearing, and so forth.

Audio poeisis, as these artists define the term, is the creation or bringing-forth of something audible and meaningful.
Comprised of Unknown, a writer we can't name here and UK poet + experimental musician Andy N, Audio Poeisis combines spoken word, instrumentation, and the “voices” of natural and artificial objects, from which synthesis emerges new languages for the listener to decipher and new meanings to ponder.
